47′ Marine Trader
Abeona is a 47’ 1986 Marine Trader. We bought her in St. Petersburg FL. She has been well-maintained and other than a little cleaning and a few decor changes, she was turn-key when we bought her…..as turn-key as a 1986 boat can be. Some call our boat a trawler, some call it a coastal cruiser. It can certainly navigate rougher seas than our 31’ Mainship could, but I wouldn’t want to go farther than Bahamas in her. It has 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms. One is a half bath, the other has a shower in it. It has kitchen equipped with a apartment sized fridge/freezer, 3 burner cooktop, microwave and double sink. It has a dinette across from the kitchen that comfortably seats 4 and I’m just dying to re-cover the bright fish cushions when I get a spare minute. It has twin Diesel Ford Lehman engines and a Westerbeke generator that we lovingly call Jenny. At first I thought that 2 engines may be overkill, especially for the type of coastal cruising we were doing, but to-date, we’ve traveled on only 1 engine more times than two engines. Not because we wanted to save power, but because one of the 2 engines was on the fritz and not running properly. All is well now, Capt Steve has fixed the issues. I will try to list some full detailed specs soon.
